CONSIDERING BECOMING A HOME SHARE PROVIDER?
Contracted Home Sharing is an option where adults with diverse-abilities have the opportunity to live more independently by sharing a home with someone who offers support when needed. Home Sharing provides individuals with a safe and secure environment, and sense of belonging with their chosen family. Home Share Providers can be individuals, couples or families, and can live in owned or rented premises. We recruit, train and provide support to Home Share Providers to ensure quality home environments that meet the needs and goals of individuals. Much consideration is placed upon identifying a match in lifestyles, personalities and interests to ensure a long-term fit.
Home share providers must be approved based on the standards set by Community Living BC (CLBC). This includes completing a home study, reference letters, medical disclosures and a satisfactory criminal record search.
